- Photo ID — a Restricted Area Permit is required for all non-Indians and is checked on arrival
- Snorkelling gear if you have your own; it is otherwise rented locally
- Light cotton and rain protection — the islands are humid year-round
Important notes
A single day, returning the same evening where the ferry schedule allows.,The islands are closed to tourism through the monsoon, roughly mid-May to mid-September, and ferries to Havelock and Neil are weather-dependent.,Baratang is reached along the Andaman Trunk Road, which runs through Jarawa reserve forest and travels in escorted convoys at fixed times.,Car Nicobar, Great Nicobar and Campbell Bay are a restricted tribal reserve needing a special permit, separate from the normal island permit.
