Nelliyampathy Tea Hills Day Trip

Nelliyampathy is the hill range west of Palakkad, reached by a ghat road that climbs through forest and coffee before opening onto tea estates. It is far quieter than Munnar and largely agricultural — tea, cardamom and orange plantations, with the Seetharkundu viewpoint looking across to the Palakkad gap. A cool day out of the plains, best between October and March.
